The TV world its seem making their own war. On the early May this month, I dont remember exacly when Samsung company lunch their first thinnest PDP TV with 1 inch thick and 26kg weight for the 50”.
Today May 19, 2009 the LG Display announced their World’s Thinnest LCD TV with two size :
- 47 inch 1080p LCD TV 6.1Kg (13.42lbs)
- 47 inch 1080p LCD TV 7.3Kg(16.06lbs)
Both of the 1080p LCD TV panels are just 5.9mm(0.23 inch) thick, LG Display also incorporated the company’s proprietary LGS (Light Guide Sheet) technology that reduced thickness by half compared to typical LGPs (light guide plates). These are roughly 1/2 the weight of typical LCD TVs that employ CCFL backlights. Until I post this article the availability of this LCD has not been decided yet.
Amazing! today our the TV its thinner and thinner I hope one day our TV will be 1 mm thick and can be roll as today keyboard. So we can take it on our travel bag and we can watch TV on our camp. What do you think?
