Along with announcing Kindle Fire HD 7-inch tablet, Amazon also releasing a new tablet with larger screen, the Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch tablet. It’s available in two options 4G version and Wi-Fi only model. As Kindle Fire HD 7-inch, both models come with HD screen. However, the screen has a higher resolution (1920 x 1200 display) with polarizing filter and anti-glare technology to provide deep contrast and rich color images.
Both 4G version and Wi-Fi model powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with Imagination PowerVR 3D graphics core for fast and fluid performance. Both tablets equipped with an exclusive Dolby audio and dual stereo speakers, Dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi, which offers 40 percent faster downloads and streaming time. They also come with a front-facing camera which can be used for Skype’s video calls for free of charge, and Amazon also give you free unlimited cloud storage for all your Amazon content (4G version will get 20GB of additional cloud storage for your photos and, etc. plus a $10 Amazon App Store promotional credit.
Like Kindle Fire HD, they also include Prime Instant Video, which allowed for unlimited, instant streaming of thousands of popular movies and TV shows and Kindle Owners’ Lending Library, allowed their users to choose from more than 180,000 books to borrow for free with no due dates, including over 100 current and former New York Times best sellers and all seven Harry Potter books.
Both Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch 4G and Wi-Fi only tablet expected to ship on November 20th, 2012. The 4G version will be available in 32GB and 64GB with price at $499 and $599, respectively. While the Wi-Fi only models available in two capacity storages, 16GB for $299, and 32GB for $369.
