Canon Europe has announced the launch of their latest large format printer called imagePROGRAF. The imagePROGRAF large format printer available in five models includes the iPF9400 (12-color, 60-inch), the iPF8400 (12-color, 44-inch), iPF6450/6400 (12-color, 24-inch) and iPF9400S (8-color, 60-inch) printers. All these printers offer improved color stability designed for precise, ultra high-quality print performance with increased speed and productivity.
Canon new large format printers utilize Canon’s LUCIA EX pigment ink set, an enhanced multi-sensor and advanced printing technologies specifically developed to produce prints with an enhanced color range and improved durability. The imagePROGRAF iPF6450 comes with optional spectrophotometer enable precise, highly stable and consistent color that has a switchable UV filter to give users much greater flexibility with their range of media.
The iPF8400 is a 12-color printer that designed to handle up to 44-inch printing. It comes with an increased internal HDD of 250GB and faster input and output. While the imagePROGRAF iPF9400 and the iPF9400S printers are the 12-color and 8-color printer respectively, and they are capable of to handle up to 60-inch borderless printing.
The iPF9400S comes with bright color reproduction and an updated print head ink, the printer has also improved its internal technology for increasing its printing speed (approximately 1.5 times faster than the previous iPF9000S), making it ideal for poster production.
The new Canon imagePROGRAF printers are scheduled to be available this month. However, no word on pricing for now [ Press Release ]
