Dane-Elec Introduced USB 3.0 External Hard Drives and Solid State Drives

Dane-Elec has introduced their a new range of USB 3.0 external hard drive and solid state drives, will come with SuperSpeed data transfer up to 250MBps if you compare with Current 2.0 USB device its ten times faster.

The new range of Dane-Elec USB 3.0 external hard drives will be available in 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch drives and will come in a variety of sizes from 500GB up to 2TB, meanwhile the new range of solid state drives will be available in two sizes 80GB and 160GB, these will retail for $249 for the 80GB version and $810 for the 160GB version.

  • 500GB – $149.99
  • 750GB – $169.99
  • 1TB – $199.99
  • 1.5TB – $239.99

SoMobile (2.5″) USB 3.0 Drives

  • 500GB – $179.99
  • 640GB – $199.99

SoPremium (2.5″) USB 3.0 SSD

  • 80GB Intel M-25 – $399.99
  • 160GB Intel M-25 – $799.99

USB 3.0 Upgrade Cards (NEC-based)

  • PCI Express – $44.99
  • ExpressCard – $49.99

Unfortunately there is no details for 2TB pricing. The Dane-Elec USB 3.0 external hard drives will be released on December 11th, 2009.
