Other than the V-Lux 2 and D-Lux 5 compact digital camera, Leica also introduces its new Special Edition camera, the M9 Titanium. This camera is an upgradable version of the semi-professional M9.


The M9 Titanium come in titanium and designed in collaboration with Volkseagen.The Special edition M9 Titanium Compact camera offers their users the sheer pleasure of photography with the unchallenged precision of the Leica rangefinder and the best 35-mm format lenses the world has ever seen.


The Leica M9 Titanium features Leather trim, LED-illuminated frame lines, and fingerprint resistant overlays distinguish the special edition from its basic counterpart. The Leica M9 Titanium special edition is strictly limited to just 500 cameras worldwide and is offered as a set together with a LEICA SUMMILUX-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH. lens, whose exterior metal components are also manufactured from solid titanium.



The Leica M9 standard edition will cost you for around $8,000 while the Special edition will be released at €22,000 or around $28,730.
