Canon demonstrated the MR Aquarium a Mixed Reality Development Project, at Digital Content Exp0 2008,  an exhibition held on Tokyo International Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation for digital content industry between 23-26 October .

Yoshiki Kajita the immage comunication product operations Canon said  It shows something called mixed reality by combining videos of swimming CG fish in actual space.

With Virtual Reality headset we can see the CG fish, turtle, shark and many other fish around us. Its very interesting because its feel so real. A feature of MR Aquarium is that because the CG fish are swimming over an actual space, multiple realities can be shown by combining the actual space and a virtual space or CG space. This makes it possible to create virtual object or represent things that otherwise could not be represented.

Canon has not decided yet whenever they would to commercialize the MR Aquarium. Do you want to vote for them ?
