Olympus has back with introducing its latest PEN series cameras, the PEN Lite E-PL5 and PEN E-PM2. Both are Micro Four Thirds cameras come with superior image technology, which offers amazing image quality, as well as blazing fast processing speed and creative control with combine the portability and ease of use of a point-and-shoot without the complexity of a DSLR.
Both PEN Lite E-PL5 and PEN E-PM2 Micro Four Third cameras comes with a 3-inch high-definition LCD screen and Anti-Finger Print coating to reduce smudges. The display offers a wide 176-degree angle of view and with 460,000-dot HD LCD allowed you to view the screen content even in harsh midday light.
The PEN Lite E-PL5 and PEN E-PM2 Micro Four Third cameras feature the same 16.1 megapixel High-Speed Live MOS Sensor and TruePic VI image processing engine. Both models can be operated in low – light environments (maximum ISO of 25,600) They also have enhance its dynamic range, enabling finer expression of gradations between dark and bright areas with a wider range of intensity.
The Olympus PEN E-PL5 Micro Four Third camera has improved the camera functionality and ease of use. It features an all-metal body in silver, black or white. It has the same swivel monitor like its predecessor, with a swivel range of up to 170 degrees up and about 65 degrees down for easier taking pictures from low or high angles, and it also offers to flip the monitor up for self-portrait shooting.
The Olympus PEN E-PM2 is an ultra-compact Micro Four Third camera with simple and stylish, smallest and lightest design. It’s presented for people who want to try an interchangeable lens camera for the first time. It will be released in four-color option, silver, black, white and red. It offers an intuitive vertical touch navigation menu display to provide a fast and easy way to switch modes with fewer steps.
Both PEN E-PL5 and PEN E-PM2 will be available next month (October 2012) with prices at $799.99 and $699.99
