Sony Vaio X Series is the latest product from Sony. The Sony Vaio X Series Although not as thin as a Macbook Air but obviously this is the lightest among all notebooks available today.

Sony Vaio X Series come with 11.1-inch thick and with weight  around 680 grams only and this means almost the same weight to the Sony Vaio series C (700 grams), The Sony Vaio X series also feature the Atom processor with operating system Windows 7. The Vaio X series notebook with a mild screen, certainly will attracted the buyer. Hopefully the paired battery can last longer which will compete with ACER battery,  which can be operate up to 8 hours.

Unfortunately there is no further information about the specifications and prices but the launching time will be sometime in October 2009.
